The decorative butter dish is made from strong sheet steel. The original enamel coating is produced using a process that has been used for centuries. During this manufacturing process, the small air bubbles and flaking appear in the enamel coating - both essential key features of enamel products. The enamelling process of melting powder glass onto metal at around 800 degrees was first used in the 18th century.

The butter dish with black print is classically provided with the fine, black line on the edges that is typical of enamel.

Good accessible well structured website. Very keen pricing .Oredeed two butter dishes. The whole process very sinple and goods arrived within a few working days.
The butter dishes were much better than its pricing suggested . They were of good quality heavy construction and well enamelled. I would have willingly paid a good bit more for them
